What is an Emergency first aid at work course?
It is particularly suitable for lower risk environments, or where a course is needed to compliment other first aid provision.
The course syllabus is in line with the requirements set by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), and is in compliance with the First Aid Regulations 1981.
It will support and enable first aiders should they need to respond to injury or illness quickly and with confidence, using vital first aid skills.

This course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, where a person is required to become a qualified "First Aider" (EFAW) in their workplace.

A 1-day Emergency first aid at work course is designed for first aiders working in small or low-risk environments. A 3-day First aid at work qualification is designed for larger or higher-risk environments and will include a wider range of illnesses and emergency situations.

Emergency first aid at work courses are suitable for environments where the first aid needs assessment hasn't identified any specific risks or illnesses. This 1-day course is ideal for small and/or low-risk environments such as shops and offices.
Is Emergency first aid at work a level 3 course?
The Emergency first aid at work course was formerly classified as level 2, but is now a widely recognised as being equivalent to a level 3 qualification. This is because the length and complexity of the skills covered meet the requirements for a level qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

This Course Covers:
- Understanding the role of the first aider
- Record keeping
- Personal hygiene and infection control
- The unconscious casualty
