Terms and Conditions of Booking

These Terms and Conditions of business for the supply of training by Top Height Training Ltd are deemed to be accepted by the Client upon the booking of services supplied by Top Height Training Ltd.

Where Top Height Training Ltd arranges for an instructor to deliver services on the Client's premises, it is the Client's responsibility to ensure that they are protected by adequate insurance against employer's liability and third party risks arising during or related to the supply of training requirements of the Client.

Where Top Height Training Ltd arranges for an instructor to deliver training on the Client's premises, it is the Client's responsibility to ensure that they have the facilities available as specified on the 'on site training form' which is issued as part of the booking form. Where a PASMA course is booked, Top Height Training ideally need an indoor area 6 metres high to erect the tower. If this is not available, this part of the training can be carried out outside. However, if the weather conditions mean that the training must be abandoned, then Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to charge the Client as per the booking form for the whole duration of the course. Should the Client wish to continue the training on another day, Top Height Training reserves the right to charge for the extra time. The instructor’s word is final.

Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to sub-contract the provision of training to its’ associates.

Top Height Training Ltd provides a full description of each course but cannot be held responsible if a Client books a course that is inappropriate for their requirements. It is up to the Client to read and understand the course content prior to signing the booking form.

Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to prevent delegates from attending a course, or to expel them from a course if their behavior is deemed as inappropriate. The instructor's word is final and there will be no refund.

Top Height Training Ltd must be informed in writing of any medical condition which may affect them or others (e.g. epilepsy, diabetes). Top Height Training Ltd will keep such information in confidence. In addition for courses which involve physical activity, it is the responsibility of each trainee to take appropriate medical advice that they are fit to take part.

All delegates must be able to understand spoken and written English in order to understand a course, as well as the safety instructions on equipment (not just in the training environment but also in the work environment). We cannot accept an interpreter. If a delegate does not meet this requirement, Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to not train the delegate and charge as per the booking form. The instructor's word is final.

The Client will accept full responsibility for all statutory requirements placed upon a Client by the relevant governing bodies and the Acts including the maintenance and safety of vehicles, plant, lifting equipment, protective clothing and all applicable insurances including any loss, injury or damage sustained during the course or training, or arising out of neglect and/or breach of statutory duty by the Client or any other way.

It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that the training facilities, equipment and conditions are appropriate to the training provision as indicated on the appropriate 'onsite booking form’. Top Height Training Ltd and/or designated company/supplier representatives reserves the right to abandon/discontinue or rearrange the provision of training where such circumstances prevail that would affect the quality of the training provided. This includes the provision of faulty equipment, bad weather conditions and plant without relevant test certificates. In the event of cancellations/re-organisation, the Client is responsible for the costs incurred.

All fees quoted are exclusive of VAT. All fees are payable at least three days before the course is due to run. Clients may request credit but this will only be granted after a satisfactory credit check, and all invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date and shall thereafter be subject to the provisions of the Commercial Debts (Late Payment of Invoices) Regulations 1998. No certificates or course reports will be issued until payment has been received in full.

All joining instructions will be forwarded following receipt of a correctly completed and signed booking form and payment.

Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to make changes to programmes, training, dates and venues at any time as necessary.

Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to make changes to fees at any time as necessary.

Top Height Training Ltd will endeavor to provide a specific trainer for part or all the period of the course but this cannot be guaranteed whether for all or part of the period of the course.

Top Height Training Ltd accepts no liability for loss where caused by its own negligence. Such loss shall be limited to the contract value and Top Height Training Ltd will not be liable for further or consequential loss caused.

Where a firm signed booking is subsequently cancelled, Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right to apply the following charge: For cancellations made 14 days or less before the course start date there will be a 50% charge of the fee, cancellations made 7 days or less before the course start date the full fee is required. All cancellations must be in writing. The date that Top Height Training Ltd receives the written cancellation will be regarded as the date the cancellation has been made and appropriate charges will be applied.

Top Height Training Ltd reserves the right not to send out any certification until full payment for the course has been made. The cost for replacement ID cards and certificates stands at £30 + VAT.

Top Height Training Ltd will cater for any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten free etc.) if notified in writing at least one day before the course is due to run, other than that, it is assumed that delegates do no have any special dietary requirements unless Top Height Training Ltd are informed. Top Height Training cannot guarantee that the food it provides is suitable for all allergy sufferers and therefore cannot take responsibility for food that may affect allergy sufferers. All food may contain nuts.

All delegates must be at the training venue for the start time of the course. If a delegate is late, it is up to the trainer whether or not the delegate can participate in the course. The delegate will still be charged if too late to join the course.

Where ever possible we provide the option for accredited certificates, but where that is not possible or not chosen, we will supply in house attendance certificates.

It is up to each delegate to write their name clearly and legibly on their application form. Whilst Top Height Training Ltd will strive to check the spelling of illegible applications, we cannot be held responsible if a certificate is spelt wrong where the spelling is unobvious.

If payment is late, we reserve the right to carry out a credit check on your company and directors (f applicable) and contact those in authority as necessary to reclaim moneys owed.

If a cheque bounces we reserve the right to make a £20 + VAT charge to cover our bank charge and our administration time.

If it is impossible for the client to return a signed booking form before the course we will take full payment by card and no refund will be given. By paying us you agree to accept the terms and conditions.

If you make an enquiry or booking with Top Height Training Ltd, we reserve the right to use your email for marketing purposes unless requested. We will never sell details.

If after making a booking, the delegate numbers change, it is the clients responsibility to advise Top Height Training Ltd. The number of delegates on the booking form or the number of delegates that attend will be charged for, which ever is greatest.

If the client needs to change the date of a booking within 14 days of the course date and the booking has already been confirmed by way of a signed booking form, an administration charge valuing an extra 20% of the total booking value will be applicable.

If the number of delegates that attend a course is greater than the amount on the booking form, the company will be charged full price (advertised price on website) for the extra delegate/s, and no certificates will be sent out until the invoice/s relating to that course is paid. If the number of delegates that attend the course is lower than the amount signed for on the booking form full payment will still be required for the amount of delgates that should have attended.

These Terms and Conditions of Business may only be varied by express agreement in writing by both the Client and a Director of Top Height Training Ltd.

PASMA Mobile Access Tower Training
This course is essential for all users of both alloy and fibreglass mobile access towers that are approved to BS EN 1004:2004. It teaches delegates how to safely erect, move, inspect, dismantle, alter and use mobile access towers. The PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association) licence / certification is the most widely recognised qualification for use of all mobile towers. It is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive and satisfies the "Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)" and the "Work at Height Regulations 2005". Train your staff on this essential course before the HSE stop you!

  • IPAF Scissor and Boom Lift (Cherry Picker) Training (MEWPS)
    This internationally recognised qualification teaches delegates to use specific categories of Mobile Elevated Work Platform. This course concentrates on 3a (Mobile Vertical Platform) and 3b (Mobile Boom, articulated or telescopic booms) catagories, but we are also able to supply 1a Static Vertical, 1b Static Boom (Trailer Mounted Boom Nifty 120 or Van Mounted Boom Z20), Trainees will received a Powered Access Licence (PAL) card / licence. In line with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

    UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training
    With the introduction of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, those who deal with materials that contain asbestos must have mandatory training or the HSE may stop you. Specified occupations that may need this training are demolition workers, construction workers, fire and burglar alarm installers, shop fitters, computer installers, general maintenance staff, caretakers, heating and ventilation engineers, carpenters and joiners, plumbers, roofing contractors, plasterers and telecommunication engineers.

    Work at Height Training
    This course is designed to give delegates an understanding and appreciation of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and what these mean for the employee and their employer. The course shows delegates how to plan any work at height, including equipment selection and how to put measures into place to prevent falls. Highly recommended for all those who work at height, and their employers!

    Safety Harness & Lanyards Training
    The aim of this course is to give those who use safety harness and lanyards an understanding of the different types of harnesses and lanyards, their safe selection, use and inspection. It also runs through all the relevant health and safety laws including the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

    Ladders & Steps BMLA Training
    This course is designed for all those who use ladders and steps in the workplace, and the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 are focused upon, as well as the safe use, maintenance and inspection of such access equipment. Highly recommended for all operators who work with ladders and steps, and their employers!

    abrasive Wheels Training
    This course is designed to give delegates an appreciation of abrasive wheel safety as well as an understanding of sound mounting techniques. The course covers angle grinders (with grinding or cutting wheels), cut-off saws and bench cut off saws. Highly recommended for all operators who work with abrasive wheels and their employers. Also covers risk assessments.

    COSHH Training
    This course is intended for all staff who may be exposed to hazardous substances, but will particularly benefit delegates who are involved with the preparation of risk assessments within their work environment. The course will give delegates an understanding of the employers duty under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 2002 to identify substances in the workplace and to assess whether they present a risk to employed persons.

    Manual Handling Training
    More than 25% of all accidents reported to the HSE each year are associated with manual handling resulting in hours of downtime for many companies! This course will help employers comply with The Manual Handling Operations 1992 which state that employers are responsible for ensuring that staff who lift or move loads are trained. The course will help delegates develop an understanding of why correct manual handling is so important, how to identify risks and will offer guidance on how to determine the safest method of handling to avoid injury.

    We do our best to provide a fast turn-around of certificates Top Height Training knows your delegates need their certification as soon as possible after their training, therefore we offer a letter of confirmation on the day of the training to show the delegates have passed, and we aim to send certification within 3 weeks of the course, as soon as it has been processed and paid for.

    We work flexibly and will tailor any course to your company's needs. We appreciate how hard it is sometimes to get delegates to a training centre due to different shift patterns, and the distance involved. Therefore why not let the trainer come to you?
